Items & Crafting

Collect gear, craft powerful equipment, enhance your weapons, and trade with other players. Items are central to character progression and the RPG economy.

Item Types

Items come in six types, each serving a different purpose:

TypeEquippableDescription
WeaponYesBoosts STR or INT for more damage in combat
ArmorYesBoosts VIT for more HP and survivability
AccessoryYesBoosts AGI for crit rate and dodge chance
CharmYesBoosts multiple stats with passive bonuses
ConsumableNoSingle-use effects like healing, XP boosts, or stat resets
MaterialNoCrafting ingredients obtained from monsters, gathering, or the shop

Rarity Tiers

Every item has a rarity tier that indicates its power level and how difficult it is to obtain:

  • Common — Basic items, widely available in shops and drops
  • Uncommon — Slightly better stats, still fairly easy to find
  • Rare — Notably stronger, from crafting or lucky drops
  • Epic — Powerful items with unique bonuses, hard to obtain
  • Legendary — The best of the best, extremely rare drops or complex recipes

Equipment Slots

You can equip one item per slot: Weapon, Armor, Accessory, and Charm. Equipment bonuses are automatically applied during combat on top of your base stats and class bonuses.

Members have a configurable inventory cap (default 20 items). If your inventory is full, you need to sell, salvage, or trade items before you can pick up new ones.

Enhancement

Equipped items can be enhanced from +0 up to +10 using the /rpg loadout enhance command. Each enhancement level increases the item's stat bonuses, making it progressively more powerful.

Enhancement requires materials (and catalysts at higher levels). The success rate decreases as the level goes up, and failures at high levels can drop the item back one level. See the Combat & Abilities page for the full enhancement table.

XP as Currency

There is no separate gold or coin system. XP is the universal currency. Buying items and crafting costs XP, which may cause your level to decrease. Selling items and winning battles earns XP back.

The Shop

The shop offers items for sale at XP prices set by admins. Use /rpg shop to browse and /rpg buy to purchase. Admins can configure which items appear in the shop, their prices, and optional stock limits.

Some items are only available from monster drops, crafting, or the wandering merchant encountered during exploration — they never appear in the regular shop.

Crafting

Recipes define how to create new items from materials. Each recipe specifies the required materials, an XP cost, and optionally a class or level requirement.

Some recipes upgrade an existing item — for example, combining a Wooden Sword with Iron Ore produces an Iron Sword. Higher-tier recipes need rarer materials like Dragon Scales and Shadow Shards, which only come from monster loot drops or zone gathering.

Admins create recipes in the dashboard under RPG → Recipes. The default data includes starter recipes to get things going.

Salvaging

Don't need an item? Salvage it to recover random crafting materials. Higher-rarity items yield more and better materials when salvaged.

Salvaging is a great way to recycle unwanted gear into ingredients for crafting something better.

Trading

Members can trade items and XP with each other using /rpg trade. Trading works through an interactive embed:

  1. You target another member with the trade command
  2. Both players add items and/or XP via modal popups
  3. Both players must accept for the trade to go through
  4. Either player can cancel at any time
  5. The trade executes atomically — both sides transfer or neither does

Trades have a 2-minute timeout. All completed trades are logged in the Activity dashboard page.

Inventory Management

Keep your inventory lean by selling low-value items and salvaging duplicates for crafting materials. A full inventory means you can't pick up drops from monsters or treasure chests.
